10 Things You Should Try To Avoid In Atlanta At All!

Most of us know that what we should do in Atlanta while visiting it, but let’s have a twist here, let’s hear what we should avoid while visiting Atlanta. Atlanta is a beautiful place and has quite a large population, but every country has its traditions and cultures, and if you are visiting them, then it is implemented on you to respect their culture. Hundreds of tourists visit Atlanta, and if you are also one of them, then you must know a few things which you should prevent to do in Atlanta.

No Accent Jokes

Of course, you are going to encounter thousands of Atlanta residents while roaming on the streets, or when doing shopping, or when visiting a museum, and so on. Always remember that never fake their accent, and if you do not understand what they said, then humbly request them to repeat what they said. Even though we think that we have caught their accent, do not try to use it in front of them.

Weather is Important

Even though it is really hot in Atlanta, trying to tell the locals is not a good idea at all. Though they have really bad weather but they kind of say that the weather is their selling point. As Atlanta’s summer generally start in April, so people just flock in, which is a great advantage to their tourism industry.

Cuisines

Are you a Thai food lover? If yes, then you have to control yourself as all you will get over there will be BBQ, fried chicken, mac and cheese, etc. As Atlanta’s residents do not eat much soul food, then my tip to you is that neither should you. It is always better to eat the specialties of that particular country.

The Waffle House

Having breakfast at the Waffle House is one of the best things to do in Atlanta. The Waffle House has the best waffles all over Atlanta, and they even provide their services 24 hours a day. As they are known for their hash browns, so when the server asks you how you want them, then there will be no time to ponder over things and trying to repeat them. The queue would be long, so do not take much time, be spontaneous.

Peachtree Streets

Before going out to explore the city, always find out which Peachtree street you need to visit. Many tourists just get lost on the streets, as there are 71 streets in Atlanta, which do have a variant of Peachtree in their name.

Prefer a Coke Instead of a Pepsi

Locals are very proud of the Coca-Cola Company’s roots, they think that it is the best soft drink, and they prefer drinking that only. There is a complete history of Coca-Cola’s makers and all that stuff, which you can find easily in one of the beverages museums. If you prefer a Pepsi, then order it at your own risk.

Eating the Same is No Fun

You can get onion rings, lobsters, cheddar biscuits, hamburgers, etc. easily in Atlanta. Just imagine that you are going to an amusement park and do not sit on any of the rides, it is the same when it comes to food. Having those things which you can easily get in your hometown is not fun at all, try different things when you have come abroad. Atlanta has scrumptious cuisines in their restaurants, a dinner with a loved one is just what you need.

Walking is Not Allowed

Having long walks with your friends, or with your loved one on the streets of Atlanta, sounds kind of fun, and romantic too, but the sad part is that you cannot walk everywhere. Locals know where they should walk and where they shouldn’t, as you are a newbie in town, do not act smart enough, and take a cab or when driving in Atlanta on highway 85, be careful of crazy drivers that cause car accidents! If you do happen to get into an accident, visit https://www.aicaorthopedics.com/  for help with car accident injuries.  If you need long walks, search for a park and have fun over there.

Never Leave Kids Home

Though Atlanta is a business hub for business travelers, but for kids, Atlanta is fun. There are tons of things to do in Atlanta, like visiting the largest aquarium, Zoo Atlanta, etc. are the perfect places to visit when traveling with a family.

Late Night Walks

It is not recommended to have long walks during the night time. The streets are quiet silent, and dark. In the daytime, you can walk on the streets as the streets are quite busy with people, traffic jams, shops, etc. It is preferred that you should return home, or to your room, before midnight.

Atlanta is a beautiful and wondrous place to visit, though there are several things which should be restrained during the visit, simply remember to follow these tips.
