Visiting Some Of The USs’ Best Venues

So many people enjoy travelling around the world. Who can blame them? The internet has made travel so much more convenient and affordable. No more visiting the travel agents, picking up brochures, thumbing through them and heading back to book the holiday. You can research online and book at any time, also doing so a lot cheaper.

One reason you might fancy booking a trip is to experience different types of events or visit particularly venues so you can tick them off your bucket list. Maybe that’s going to see a heavyweight title fight at the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas, or see a big name perform live on stage at the Hollywood Bowl, in Los Angeles. Below is a look at some of the best venues in the US that you might wish to visit and why you might want to go there.

1. Hollywood Bowl, Los Angeles

The Hollywood Bowl is the most famous venue in all of America for live music. So many legendary bands and performers have entertained audiences at this 17,500 capacity venue which opened in 1922.

Perhaps one of the most famous performers to have graced the venue’s stage is of course the band The Beatles, who played there in 1965 and 1966 and later released an album of recordings — ‘The Beatles Live at the Hollywood Bowl’ — from their performances there. Another iconic band to have done so was The Doors, who delighted the Hollywood Bowl crowd in 1968.

Other venues you might wish to consider visiting for live music include Brooklyn Steel, in New York City, the venue having hosted PJ Harvey and The Pixies; and Red Rocks, in Morrison, Colorado, which has been the setting of live performances by Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, U2 and Depeche Mode.

2. Chatham Bars Inn, Massachusetts

If you’re looking to tie the knot, one of the finest places in the country to give the ‘I do’ is the Chatham Bars Inn, in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. This venue welcomes wedding celebrations in all seasons. The happy couple and their guests can eat dinner — don’t be surprised if lobster is on the menu —and dance the night away in one of the oceanfront dining rooms. Come wintertime, the venue will be willing to keep the cold at bay with bonfires on the private beach while the newly weds and their guests can celebrate their love.

3. Caesars Palace, Las Vegas

Think of Las Vegas and you can’t help but think of one thing: casinos. Las Vegas, or just “Vegas” as many people call it, is the entertainment capital of the world — amongst other sporting events, the resort city will now be welcoming the Formula 1 in the form of the Las Vegas Grand Prix — and is renowned for its glitz, glamour and casinos.

One of the most iconic casinos on the planet has to be Caesars Palace. This casino is especially good for sports betting. There are also plenty of table games, but if that’s not your thing you can always relax at the slots, of which there’s lots of variety ranging from penny slots through to $500 ones. If, however, you can’t get to Vegas, you might fancy trying a Megaways online slot instead and maybe even practise from the comfort of your own home in preparation for the day you can step into a Vegas casino, Caesars Palace or otherwise.

4. Madison Square Garden, New York

If you’re a local, you might just refer to Madison Square Garden, in New York, casually as “The Garden”, but make no mistake about it: this is one of the most famous venues in the world, if not possibly the most famous.

The Garden is a multi-purpose venue but especially serves the NBA as it’s the stadium of the New York Knicks and for basketball events can accommodate as many as 19,000+. The stadium also lends its services as a home stadium to the NHL’s New York Rangers, so this is really the place to be if you enjoy following local sports teams or even if you’re just an impartial observer and want to soak up the atmosphere of an event at this tremendous sports venue.

5. The Carlyle, New York

If you’re a sophisticated traveller looking for some luxury, The Carlyle, in New York, offers in an understated but highly comfortable fashion. Since opening in 1930, this hotel has been a big hit with world leaders, business leaders, leaders in society and more, providing them with sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the busy Big Apple. From the generously-sized suites and rooms of this well-positioned hotel on the Upper East Side of Madison Avenue it’s possible to relax and admire the view of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline.

Not only world leaders have visited the hotel, as The Carlyle has opened its highly luxurious doors to royalty as well. If, for some strange reason, the hotel didn’t appeal to you, however, you might wish to try the luxurious Waldorf Astoria, when it opens back up following its refurbishments and see what the prestigious chain have done with the hotel.

Travel is amazing and gives you the chance to check out some truly outstanding venues. A visit to any of the ones above for the purposes describe will reward you with a superb experience that will remain engraved happily in your memory for years to come.
