Designer Radiators Are Cheaper At A Radiator Outlet Store

Are you looking for a designer radiator to spruce up your home? First of all, you might be tempted to go to the big manufacturers. But a radiator outlet store could offer you a huge amount of choice while offering the opportunity to save some money.

In this guide, we’re going to look at what a designer radiator is, consider the advantages of the radiator outlet store and then take a look at some of the most popular types of designer radiators.

What is a Designer Radiator?

So, you might be wondering precisely what is a designer radiator. Well, the simple answer is that it’s a type of radiator specifically manufactured to look nice and coordinate with other home decor. Because of this, they are typically more ornate than standard radiators due to their design.

Designer radiators can come in other materials besides cast iron or steel. However, the designs are still very unique and often have very traditional elements that give them that “dressy” feel. Because of this, they’re commonly used in formal areas, including living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, etc.

The Radiator Outlet Store

Okay, so now we know what a designer radiator is, what can you expect from a radiator outlet store? Well, these stores sell items that aren’t found elsewhere and for lower prices than your usual DIY store. This is often because they have lower operating expenses and overhead costs than their larger competitors.

If you see what you’re looking for, we strongly recommend making your purchase there and then. That’s because outlets often have a quick stock turnover and don’t always keep the same radiators in stock year-round.

Options for Designer Radiators

1. The Vertical Radiator

A vertical designer radiator is used in areas where space is limited or for rooms with lower ceilings. While they are not as effective as traditional radiators, they often look very nice and can fit in with your decor well if you want to dress up a space. Their piping may be mounted vertically or horizontally within the casing, giving them their name.

One of the great benefits of the vertical radiator is that it’s installed vertically into your heating system so that the front surface takes up as little room as possible while still providing both warmth and hot water to your bathroom. Because they’re usually small, they get hotter faster than most other radiators, making them ideal for use in larger spaces such as living rooms or hallways.

2. The Picture Radiator

A picture radiator (also called an electric panel heater) looks like an ornate painting that hangs on the wall providing both heat and an artistic element to the room. The great thing about this option is how unique they are.

You get to choose the image that you want to be printed onto the radiator, and that could be your favorite photo from your vacation, your children, or even your new puppy!

3. The Cast Iron Radiator

The oldest form of radiator, these models feature a sturdy metal casing and require skilled installation. They tend to be the most expensive and provide uneven heat distribution throughout a room because they don’t have fins along their back like less well-insulated radiators do. This means they are most suitable for radiator zones where the heat is needed more intensely, such as in an ensuite bathroom.

4. The Mirror Radiator

Mirror Radiator

This is a type of radiator that has no visible pipes. Instead, they hang from the wall like a mirror (hence their name) and have all their tubing concealed behind the board of the mirror itself or inside another casing held behind it with brackets. The massive benefit of this design is that it’s super easy to clean, and the radiators become virtually invisible.

If you’ve ever been frustrated by the mirror steaming up from the heat, a mirror radiator is a great solution. That’s because as the heat is generated, it gets rid of all that annoying condensation on the mirror.

5. Anthracite Radiators

An anthracite radiator is a great option for homes with a contemporary decor. The cool grey color is a clear statement piece in any home. However, it’s important to know that they’re not actually made of anthracite; they are instead standard aluminum or steel radiators that have then been finished with the eye-catching grey finish.

Because it is just the color that makes it an anthracite radiator, there is a wide range of radiator types that are now available. From flat and double panels through to column designs, an anthracite finish is possibly the design statement you’re looking for!
